"Perfect Princess Party" Ideas & Tips

Invite her princess guests to wear their favorite princess dress, or party dress, or dress ups to the party.

Greet each guest and adorn her with her own crown and septor and invite her to wait on her special throne (pillow with fun fabric pinned around it).

When all the guests have arrived, have the queen (party girl) lead them to the “royal salon” where they will each have some curls put in their hair, their nails painted and some blush, and lipstick put on. (Have helpers on hand to help the princesses)

Then have them follow the queen to the masters room for a princess photo shoot. Take pictures of girls with digital camera and have a helper print them out on the computer or photo print machine while princesses decorate a frame or matboard frame with jewels and ribbons, bows, and stickers. Then tape their picture in their own frame to create a “Royal Photo” to take home. Be sure to get lots of group shots for the party queen herself.

Then Roll our the red carpet (go to your local carpet store and ask for a remnant of carpet that is 2 or 3 feet wide and 10 to 20 feet long, any color will do) Then Turn on the fun music girls love for a runway show featuring the princesses and queen. Have an announcer introduce the girls and describe their outfits and accessories as though they were on a New York runway show! A fog machine and Bubble machine make fun additions to the runway show if you have them. You could also get the music for the “Macerena” and teach them the dance.

Then go to the royal kitchen for a fancy princess “Tea Party” (Pick up fun little china plates and cups and silver at your local second hand store) and serve cake and icecream and princess punch on china while fun music is playing. Take lots of pictures!!

You can then have the princesses gather around their “Queen” while she unwraps her heavenly treasures bestowed upon her by her guests. Have the queen make a magical wish for each girl before she unwraps the present given by her.

Take home goodie bags: Get fun “girly” or metallic small bags and tissue paper and let the princesses take home their party favors. Choose from: (ie, (dollar store) ring, necklace, bracelet , hairbow, fingernail polish, stickers, lip gloss, lollipop, hand mirror, pencil, etc.
